Keeping your calendar filled with a healthy number of appointments is vital to your business. Whether your solo therapist or a multi-staff practice, a successful day always starts right here on your Schedule, so let’s take a look at how to book an appointment.

Today we’re going to keep things simple and straightforward, but MassageBook scheduling comes fully stocked with different tools and settings to keep you in total control. In this example, Joe, who is a solo therapist, is going to be booking a 60-minute deep tissue for his client, Robert, who wants to come in on Thursday at 9:30am.

Joe will see his available working hours in white on the calendar, so all he has to do is select the date and time and then book appointment. Joe is scheduling an in-office appointment, but if he’s ever traveling to a client, he can switch to outcall here to include an address.

Robert is already an existing client, but adding someone new on the fly is quick and easy here. A quick search for Robert will pull up his record.

The date and time are already filled in based on where Joe clicked on the calendar, but that can be changed here. Joe can also make Thursday at 9:30 a recurring appointment by selecting repeat and choosing how often and until when.

Since it’s just Joe, he’ll be selected as the service provider, but if he ever adds staff, he’ll be able to select them here too. And more staff could mean more rooms in his office, so Joe will be to pick which one the appointment is in if he ever expands.

Next, Joe will pick the deep tissue from his service menu and then select the 60-minute duration. If Robert wanted an add-on, it’s easy as clicking the plus sign and making another selection.

Under more, Joe can adjust the prep and recovery time that’s included in the service. He can also attach any notes and reminders about the appointment by including them here. Since these boxes are checked, Robert will get a confirmation email, a reminder email and text message, and an email request to complete an intake form since he doesn’t already have one on file.

Now that Joe’s ready to book the appointment, all he has to do is select Save to add it to the Schedule.
